I'm meeeeelting! I'm meeeeeelting!!!!

Day Twenty Six: Ice Art!

Fittingly, I've just come back from an ICE meeting (Improvisational Comedy Ents) so what better time than to post some ice art!

Sooooo gutted the detail of the fingers doesn't show up half as well as in real life. These ice fingers are exact replicas of my lovely left hand digits made from wax casts then filled with water.

This would have been posted earlier had it not been for the fact my middle finger wax cast cracked before it had frozen properly resulting in half an ice finger and half an ice puddle.

I'm pleased with this piece of art in real life - shame the photos don't capture it AND I'm the only one awake so I am going to be the only person to witness it before it melts . . sorry ice fingers.

  1. Ooh, freaky - I like the way you laid them out with the puddle of blue making the palm.

  2. Thanks!! Yea, I initially laid them out plain but then had the idea of making a palm puddle - had to redo it ridiculously quickly as those fingers were going down fast! Lesson to be learned: when doing ice art, plan better beforehand - though luckily this one turned out fine :)
