Trying To Catch Nature

After much playing around with a decent camera - I finally felt ready to spend a whole day taking some portfolio worthy photos. I went to West Stow and tried very hard to catch a snippet of the natural beauty there.

Ironically, though I decided to focus my attention on birds - my picture of the day featured no birds but I suppose thats the way things go sometimes.

Day Twenty Six: Ice Art!

Fittingly, I've just come back from an ICE meeting (Improvisational Comedy Ents) so what better time than to post some ice art!

Sooooo gutted the detail of the fingers doesn't show up half as well as in real life. These ice fingers are exact replicas of my lovely left hand digits made from wax casts then filled with water.

This would have been posted earlier had it not been for the fact my middle finger wax cast cracked before it had frozen properly resulting in half an ice finger and half an ice puddle.

I'm pleased with this piece of art in real life - shame the photos don't capture it AND I'm the only one awake so I am going to be the only person to witness it before it melts . . sorry ice fingers.
