Found Objects Sculptures
Marcel Dechamp's famous piece 'Fountain' (a urinal turned on its side) is the most famous piece of Found Object Art.
It is what it sounds like, find an objects and make it art. Name it, subvert it, destroy its use, give it a new use or destroy it - all viable possibilities.

A Medicinal Flower
Day Twenty Seven - Art using items to do with medication.
This piece is made from approximately one months worth of my families mental health related medication (the medical minded among you may even be able to work out exactly how mental my family is!).
I decied to make it into a sort of flower just because I thought trying to create an attractive organic shape out of something very cold and manufactured looks - not to mention something that can make people uncomfortable - might be interesting.
I think people would be surprised by how many medication flowers blossom in households they think they know.

I'm meeeeelting! I'm meeeeeelting!!!!
Day Twenty Six: Ice Art!
Fittingly, I've just come back from an ICE meeting (Improvisational Comedy Ents) so what better time than to post some ice art!
Sooooo gutted the detail of the fingers doesn't show up half as well as in real life. These ice fingers are exact replicas of my lovely left hand digits made from wax casts then filled with water.
This would have been posted earlier had it not been for the fact my middle finger wax cast cracked before it had frozen properly resulting in half an ice finger and half an ice puddle.
I'm pleased with this piece of art in real life - shame the photos don't capture it AND I'm the only one awake so I am going to be the only person to witness it before it melts . . sorry ice fingers.
